And in the living room, we have nothing but empty walls. I hate white walls! But I am not going to paint because we painted our last apartment in January and moved in June. I have done all of the painting I can handle for one year. Plus I don't know if we'll stay here once we move back, and the walls aren't really white white, they're kind of a creamy blush.
But really, did you need all that detail? The point is that I went to a local artist tonight to see if he had anything affordable to go behind our couch, but he didn't. :( So I went to one of those stores that has like everything you need all in the space of the stationary section of Walmart, and I found a huge fake oil painting of the ocean with an island off to the side. I'm pretending it is the island we can see from our beach. And it only cost $40.
Oh wait, $40 PLUS my sanity. Because I had to take the two worst children in the world along with me. I don't know if they like pump something through the vents at the mall to make children on their WORST behavior, but my kids were beyond bad tonight. I mean, while I was paying for my print, they ran off, took those sticks of wrapping paper and were sword fighting in the store. You should have seen the crowd that gathered to watch these two totally out of control white kids.
The worst part is that I can't act like, Whose kids are those? MY kids would never act that way. like I would if we were in America because I was the only white lady in the store. :(
Once we got in the car, they went back to being their normal, sweet selves; they sat at the table and ate a snack, picked up their toys nicely and snuggled up for a story. I've decided that if I EVER at any point realize I have left my stroller at home, I will return home to get it, even if I don't realize it is missing until I get out of the car in the parking lot of the mall!
I did this a while back and forgot to post it here. I picked up Gina Miller's Sandy Toes when it was a dollar, and it has the prettiest papers in it! I am so glad I got it. I paired it with one of Cindy Schneider's templates, and came up with this page:

Tomorrow I plan on working hard to catch up so Joel will still love me when he gets back. Hope your weekend gets off to a great start!
