Reinstating an Old Rule

When Joel and I got married, we discovered that we fought at night. A lot.

We got married right out of college, so the year before we got married, we were staying up till 1 or 2, rolling out of bed at 9:55 to make our ten o''clock class, sleeping all afternoon & enjoying life essentially responsibility free. Suddenly I was plunged into adulthood, having to be out the door by 7:15, working all day teaching 20 7 year olds, coming home at 5 or 6 to make dinner, clean the house & do laundry. What did Joel do, you might ask...he worked on his masters from 8-noon and hung out with his friends till i came home and fixed him dinner. :(

Needless to say, we had some issues.

But hte issues were the worst at night, and we came up with a solution that worked for us. We stopped talking after nine pm. I realize that more godly people would have used kind voices or whatnot, but know you know where we stand. We couldn't talk at night without fighting, so we just stopped talking.

And it worked great for our relationship.

Last night I remembered what a good plan that was and decided that we need to go back to not talking at night. I don't even know what we were fighting about, but I know that I was wrong and could not admit it and Joel was right but he was wrong in how he dealt with it. So basically, we fought because we are two selfish, prideful people, but if we had been following the RULE, the argument wouldn't have happened.

Are you following my logic? Anyway, the rule has now been reinstated, and I am hopeful that we will be bff again soon.

I finally finished my Hodge Podge Layout, working on it little by little. It is way busy, but I just love that pp I used and couldn't resist the opportunity to scrap flowers.
I love my 1)Smashbox Primer, 2)Philosophy Air Brush Mineral Foundation, 3)Cover Girl LashBlast Mascara, 4)CG blush and 5)Lip Gloss that doesn't fade or come off when I kiss my babies. The challenge was to scrap, "All I Need". Yeah, yeah, most people scrapped their families, but come on, I do that ALL THE TIME. ;) This time I wanted to go fun & funky for ME.

Now i'm off to get my little pup from his first day back at pre-school; school holidays was actually fun. (though i am glad it only lasted a week!) He was excited to go back and see his friends today, though.
