Anyway, Tues. night was a rough one for Max, up in the middle of the night sick, so when 6:15 rolls around and Jack is all full of sunshine, Max wakes up and cries. But he won''t go back to sleep. He just sits there and points at the door. No, he won't get down and go away so *I* can go back to sleep. I must choose: lay in bed and listen to the crying or get up and carry him into the living room and collapse on the couch. I chose the latter. And i carried my pillow with me in hopes of catching a little more Zzzz's.
But the small child was having none of it. His cry turns into a piercing wail as he demands I put the pillow down. What do you do in these situations? At this point I don't care about the pillow, and clearly I am not going back to sleep, but it does quite bother me that I am being bossed around by a child who hasn't even had his second birthday.
FAMILY UPDATE
All is well at our house...almost. Yesterday (Friday) was great; nobody was sick at all. Today, though, Max woke up with a bad cold and we had to cancel our trip to the village. I had mixed feelings about that. I really wanted to spend some time with my friend, and I feel awful that she didn't get to go to her brother's little party, but at the same time I feel glad to be in my air conditioned bedroom instead of sweating away in a village without electricity or running water. I am feeling selfish, but I have learned to live with the guilt.
PSE DRAMA RESOLVED
Remember how i couldn't scrap? And how I was just gonna live with it? Yeah, that didn't work out so well. So i downloaded The Gimp, and it was not what I was used to so I uninstalled it. Too complicated to figure out, ya know? Then I downloaded another free trial of PSE on my old computer in Joel's name...only I accidentally downloaded the Swiss version. I could probably just un-install it and reinstall the English version, but I like a good challenge. No, seriously, I am just lazy and don't want to mess with it. Fortunately the keyboard shortcuts are the same, and I even figured out which one was the Gaussian blur last night. :)
So I made this page for the Hodge Podge Challenge:
I used THREE of the new things I picked up in the last week; I am feeling like I should probably buy some more stuff now. :) And if you are a scrapper and like that striped paper & cool circle pp, you can pick it up here at Designer Digitals for free. (as long as you are logged in)
Now I am going to turn my computer off, put the small child to bed, get dinner in the slow cooker and pick up. Once the little ones are in bed later tonight, I am going to scrap with a fun new SP kit that is waiting for me. Have a happy weekend!
