So today I picked out 110 of my favorite pictures from our trips to the States (Christmas) and Bali (June) and had them printed. The kids LOVED them. They looked through them all the way home talking about the things we did with their grandparents. :) It made me so happy. So yeah, I will probably make layouts of those pictures, but I won't feel stressed about it, like my kids are only going to have these memories if I am faithful to put them on a layout.
BUT, total bummer here, after I had the pictures printed, I lost my brand new, 4 GB flash drive. :( Isn't that o depressing??? I went maternity shopping with my pregnant friend, and while she was trying on clothes, I was mindlessly turning the thumb drive over in my hand. When she came out, I put back two of the shirts, went to the counter with her, and then we left. As soon as we walked out, I realized my thumb drive wasn't in my hand, so I wen through my bag, only to find it wasn't in there either. We went back through that store five times, but it was nowhere to be found. Getting another one isn't a big deal, and it isn't expensive or anything, I just hate to be so wasteful and careless. And to lose things.
It is funny to me how I can never find anything I like when I go shopping, but when I go shopping for someone else, I love everything I see! I think I will go shopping again by myself on Thursday and pick up a few things. We have this really nice mall, but it is so absurdly expensive that I don't know how it stays open. The main mall downtown, where we were today, is reasonable, though most of the stores have the same stuff. My favorite place to shop is called F.O.S. (Factory Outlet Store) where we get excess clothes from the Gap & Old Navy from like two years ago. So I'm not stylin or anything, but at least I feel comfortable.
And as my mother would sadly testify, I always opt for comfort over style.
I have been a scrapping fool lately, and I want to share my most recent favorite with you.
Everything is from the Shabby Princess's Gigglebox (isn't that bg paper FUN?!). I just love those epoxy dots and the cool alpha. These pictures from April always make me smile, and I wanted to remember how we laugh together.
Yup, that's what I finally figured out, too. I try to buy an album while we're on vacation, then I get the photos printed and put in that album soon after we get back so that we can look at them. Scrapping them into a book usually comes much later, and I'm OK with that. Love the layout!
ReplyDeleteI have not printed one single picture since I started digital scrapping 3.5 years ago. I probably should!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the reminder that we can get our photos processed and put into a photo album! Sometimes we put so much pressure on ourselves to scrap them... sorry you lost your thumb drive. I love this layout, the laughing and giggling is so cute, and the blocked b&w photos are great!
ReplyDeletei love that layout of yours Kellie .. I might want to peek at shabby princess to see the kit you used :)
