But I let the random generator pick me a couple of numbers, and it picked number 8, Becky, and number 24, Debra. Congrats, girls! I will pm you soon with your code (and by soon, I mean next week...)
That was really fun for me, and I appreciate you all stopping by. Sorry I couldn't give you all a set!
I THOUGHT I'D ABOUT FORGOTTEN
how to scrap without a template. I do not scrap for the glory or the creative process or as an artist. I scrap because I have a story to tell and it is worth remembering! But when I get bogged down in the process, I can't get all my stories told, and that is why I love templates.
I am still a slow scrapper, even with a template, but having to come up with my own design takes me like forever and a day. So last night when I was up till 1am with insomnia, I opened up PSE, picked one of my new, unused kits and just started scrapping.
I had so much fun! I suppose my layout isn't entirely original. It is sort of blocked and embellished, but I had a great time trying to fill the squares. The kit I used is perfect for throwing lots of stuff on a page; the elements are fun and the papers are yum. Totally gonna use it again.
We actually picked our apartment based on that playground right outside our door. It has been such a blessing and the boys really love it.
So now I that I have made my own page, I can happily go back to using templates, right? ;)
And that only leaves two products from my Oct/Nov budget unused: Dreams Take Flight {SA Collab with CD} and The Digi Files. From my DSD splurge, I haven't used any of the stuff I got from Dani's GC or the dollar deals I got at SPD, but I have used everything else. I think I deserve an award...maybe a nice dollar deal from LDD today would be nice, doncha think?
Alright, I am off to scavenge for dinner for my family. TTYL!

yay!! I am very excited!
ReplyDeleteLove your layout, by the way, and also love how you keep us updated on what you have used and not used, b/c it helps me keep that in mind when I am scrapping!
Congrats to the winners!! I am a template junkie as well. After a couple years of scrapping there are only so many ways I turn an original design LOL. I actually love that I can forget about the design and just focus on telling my story. Gotta love templates.
