Seriously. Almost Finished

My sole purpose in life right now is to get Max's 1 Year & Jack's 2007 Album ordered from MyPicTales. It would sure as heck help if my stupid computer ran faster than the first computer my mother bought in the 80s.

It is killing me with its slowness.

It is only 2 1/2 years old and I feel like it should not be so incapable of opening files. It literally took a full minute to open up My Computer this morning.

But I digress. I finished the last page for Max's album and downloaded Wendyzine's template for the cover. But the software has been processing my album for hte last ten minutes and is still not even halfway through. Oh, to have a decent computer.

No, seriously. I can't complain. We have 3 computers in our family of 4, and even though one of them hardly works, I feel grateful. I'll get a new one next fall while we are home, I suppose, and all will be well.

My goal for tonight {while I am waiting for Chuck to come on} is to finish our calendars. I am using the SP One Page Calendars, so I just need to insert photos. Then I will place a huge order from MPT and stay off the computer for at least a few hours. ;)

I went through my library of books the other day and picked out several I want to read before the end of the year. Then I did a reality check and narrowed it down to FOUR that I WILL read before January 1, 2010. They are:
Sherpherding a Child's Heart by Tedd Tripp
Only Nuns Change Habits Overnight by Karen Linamen
Youniquely Woman by Kay Arthur & Emilie Barnes
The Hour that Changes the World

I have this study coming in the mail, so hopefully I can start it on Dec. 1 and change my life.

Not likely yet I have hope. God has used Kay Arthur to change my life before; I feel certain he can do it again.

I don't have a layout to leave with you today, so I will show you the gorgeous sunset we had the other night. First the sunset, then the food.
It was a great evening! Good food, good view, good friends. {And wide open spaces for the kids to run in} Have a great Thursday everyone!

  1. Bless your heart, I know that it will be such a relief to get this book ordered!! Not that I don't love hearing about your trials and tribulations of the process! :)

Will be eager to hear how that study is...I LOVE Kay Arthur, but it has been a while since I have done one of her studies.
    Happy Thursday!

  2. The pictures are beautiful! I LOVE Shepherding A Child's Heart. Our Sunday school class went through the book one time. I wish I could say that I followed all the wonderful advice and now I am a much better parent but I still struggle with feeling like a failure every day. This parenting stuff is HARD. Thankfully it's not just about me and what I do but also about God's grace at work in each of my children's lives.

I need to look into doing some calendars. That would make great Christmas presents.
