On Mondays and Thursdays, I normally leave him with my helper {who, btw, feeds him icing from the can and opens up new packs of HIDDEN candy for him, I can't imagine WHY he cries when I leave} so I can go to the office and do email and paperwork and whatever else needs to get done. But today I stayed home to do that work, and I realized that I NEED to get out of the house and away from my kids at least once a week.
Cuz that little dollface was DRIVING ME BATTY today! Maybe it's just the rain that has been keeping us indoors, but it seems like my kids are getting louder all the time. I was this close to crazy by the time they went to bed.
We did really great training Jack to go to sleep on his own when he was 10 months old, but with Max, we slacked. I could nurse him or rock him and he would stay asleep and sleep all night. But after we gave our rocking chair away, I started sitting with him for "just five minutes" and now I sit in there with him for like TWO FREAKIN HOURS sometimes while he goes to sleep. {Of course, I take my computer with me, so I normally don't mind TOO much, lol}
He''s at that age where he still needs a nap, but if he gets one, he's up till 10. So the last couple of days I have kept him up all day, and he's been out by 7:30. I think I would rather have the time at night than the break during the day, but he didn't go down as easily tonight, so we'll see how tomorrow goes before we make this a habit.
Before I show you my latest page, I wanted to be excited because ChrissyW chose my gallery to use to create her newest set of templates from! :) I can't wait to see the finished result or to use my GC to her store.
I don't have any new layouts to show you because last night when my kids went to bed early, I spent the evening going through my kaboodle and creating a new DSD kaboodle list so that when the day comes, I will be ready.
I mean, do you drool with envy over my ability to be productive??
Tonight I am desperately trying to finish some stuff that was due, oh, five days ago! But I leave you with a couple of photos of the cutest kid in all the world:
If you look real hard in the bg to the left of the boats, there is the tip of a boat that sunk in a windstorm we had the other night! No one was hurt, but it sure looked freaky out there in the ocean!
